چکیده

In this project fluid flow over various airplane wings was simulated using lattice gas cellular automata (LGCA)[1]. The aim of this simulation was to study how the drag and lift forces on a wing vary for various wing shapes, wing pitches and wind speed. The results of this study are presented, along with key details of the LGCA implementation that was used to construct the wind tunnel and interesting profiles of this tunnel in action which prove helpful in explaining the fluid behaviour over the wings. Fluid flow in physics is described by the Navier-Stokes equations

A Low Cost Numerical Simulation of a Supersonic Wind-tunnel Design

In the present paper, a supersonic wind-tunnel is designed to maintain a flow with Mach number of 3 in a 30cm×30cm test section. An in-house CFD code is developed using the Roe scheme to simulate flow-field and detect location of normal shock in the supersonic wind-tunnel. In the Roe scheme, flow conditions at inner and outer sides of cell faces are determined using an upwind biased algorithm. ...

Lattice Gas Automata Simulation of Adsorption Process of Polymer in Porous Media

Lattice gas automata (LGA) model is developed to simulate polymer adsorption process by adding some collision rules. The simulation result of the model is matched with batch experiment and compared with accepted isothermal adsorption equations. They show that the model is viable to perform simulation of the polymer adsorption process. The LGA model is then applied for simulating continuous poly...

Cellular Automata Simulation of a Bistable Reaction-Diffusion System: Microscopic and Macroscopic Approaches

The Cellular Automata method has been used to simulate the pattern formation of the Schlögl model as a bistable Reaction-Diffusion System. Both microscopic and macroscopic Cellular Automata approaches have been considered and two different methods for obtaining the probabilities in the microscopic approach have been mentioned. The results show the tendency of the system towards the more sta...

Design of low power random number generators for quantum-dot cellular automata

Quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) are a promising nanotechnology to implement digital circuits at the nanoscale. Devices based on QCA have the advantages of faster speed, lower power consumption, and greatly reduced sizes. In this paper, we are presented the circuits, which generate random numbers in QCA.  Random numbers have many uses in science, art, statistics, cryptography, gaming, gambli...
